FEEL GOOD FUSION - MUDluscious and DJ FAUST (Friday, May 30, 2008)

FEEL GOOD FUSION - "A Tasty Blend of ART & MUSIC"
Friday 5/30 (9PM) @ The Terrace
443 East Colorado Blvd Pasadena, CA 91101

Everyone in the band is really excited about this show. It's not just the awesome lineup (DJ Faust, Matter, Denkym, and SeanO), or the artists (Nice Penguins), or even the dope VJ's (Zach & Greg). I think it's more that we have that night and it will be for the rest of our lives. It will not suck, due to a lack of partying, so we want everyone to come and get party all over Pasadena. For the record "party" a tangible item, a film that collects over clothes, shoes and other various forms of public and private property. Check out these videos . . .

MUDluscious at On The Rox - Saturday May 17th

This will be our first show the day after I get back from my trip! It's FREE. Come one come all. Traveling to see all of these amazing shows is putting this music thing into perspective for me, someone told me that if we don't fill this place we will never be able to play there again. Welcome 2 LA. Even if we never play the Roxy ever again (with two exclamation points) so be it. There are so many people out there, so many venues. If we get stuck playing in front of a bus stop the only thing we could do as a group is make sure that everyone waiting to get on the bus remembers who we are and enjoys our music, and you can fucking better believe they would. Don't be a sheep people! I miss LA, but I don't miss the bullshit you get dealing with promoters on the strip. Come out and see us if you like to watch blue collar kids w/ a progressive sound and an eclectic taste. See you there!

Day ? - New Orleans Jazz Fest After Party feat. M.I.A. DJ?uestlove, King Brit, and Holy Fuck

So it's the 5th or 7th day on the road (I've already lost track of the days), and Eli still hasn't gone number 2. I'm starting to get worried. But I think that will most definitely change after tonight's dinner we had at the Crackle Barrel. The trip from Austin to New Orleans was awesome, mostly because I found this crazy electronic toy guitar at a flea market for $3. It's my new best friend.

Tonight we will be going to the Radiohead show in West Palm Beach, Florida. We traveled about 500 miles through Alabama and Mississippi by way of New Orleans, LA. I was told the Crackle Barrel was a magical place, instead it sucked balls.
The M.I.A show in New Orleans was insane. I had the privilege to interview King Britt for Antics TV who talked to me about the new rave revival, the way New Orleans has changed, and also how significant this years Jazz Fest was to the city and for the people one year removed from the Katrina Hurricane disaster. But for sure the coolest thing I can say I did while in New Orleans (without being a geek about it) I got to play Rock Band on the Sony Playstation 3 with Maya and her homie out the back of The 2009 Matrix. Peep! She picked The Clash "Should I Stay Or Should I Go". . .

New Orleans has this beautiful vintage feel to it, the architecture, the cuisine, etc. but there is an undeniable sorrow about it. Not so much the people, I mean everyone I met or had the pleasure to talk to were in great spirit, but the city itself is traumatized for sure and you can really feel it, especially on the East Side where we first pulled in. Check out this note some one left a lost one:

The French Quarter however was cracking this past weekend! The party doesn't end here. People are walking the streets with alcohol out in the open. Drugs and god knows what else, were also everywhere, and we didn't get to sleep till the wee hours of the morning. For me it was like a 90's rave, but legal, and without the hallucinogenics.
Here are some pics from the day when we were setting up and getting ready for the show:

Day 3 - Austin is the shit!

So we have now driven half way across the country and I'm soaking it up like a wet t-shirt. I've got to put Day 3 and 4 together because I feel like the night we had in Austin and the drive we had to New Orleans all kind of took place during the same day (technically). I mean, Day 3 started somewhere from a hotel in dickfuck, New Mexico and ended in a raging night party of radness over in Austin, Texas at Beauty Bar.

In Texas it's all about the size of your flag.

FIGHT!

Instrumental Presents: "Money Money Money" - Sunset Mansion

Day 2 - Got into to Junction, Texas around 4:20am

So we didn't quite make it to San Antonio today/tonight, but we did pass thru Bowie, Arizona and let me tell you it's nothing like you would think . . . . Actually in Bowie there's like a Subway and a gas station. These two still managed to get their "bro-down." We stopped at a store called The Running Indian (somewhere in bumfuck I mean Bowlin, New Mexico) because Scotty wanted to buy a Davey Jones outfit or something. Will actually ended up going big snagging himself a chain for his cowboy boots to go along with the checkered doo-rag he got from a gas station a few miles before TBI. He wanted to buy this jacket but instead he gets a picture of himself in the jacket.
We got to the border of Texas and we were only half way towards our first event in Austin. Looks someone threw some shit at the sign. I really hate to see people trashing this beautiful country.
